1.2. Information Collected from the Device:

This is the core data required for the Services to function.

Precise Location Data: We collect precise, real-time geographic location (latitude and longitude) from the Device.

Device and Asset Data: We collect information about the Device's status, including its motion, speed, direction, altitude, battery level, cellular data and signal strength.

Alert Data: We collect data generated by alerts you configure, such as geofence entries/exits, speeding alerts, and battery alerts.

1.3. Information Collected Automatically (from our Website/App):

Usage Data: We collect information about how you interact with our website and applications, such as IP address, browser type, operating system, pages viewed, and access times.

Cookies and Advertising Technologies: We and our third-party partners use cookies, pixels (or "web beacons"), and other similar tracking technologies to operate and improve our Services, personalize your experience, analyze website traffic, and for advertising purposes. This includes using third-party services, like Google and Facebook/Meta, to collect information about your browsing activities on our website. This information is used to: Analyze our website traffic and performance, Show you relevant advertisements for our Services on other websites and platforms you visit (this is known as "remarketing" or "interest-based advertising"), Measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns. These third-party vendors, including Google and Facebook/Meta, use cookies to serve ads based on your past visits to our website.

  • To Improve Our Services: To analyze usage trends, perform diagnostics, and improve the functionality and user experience of our Services.
  • For Security and Fraud Prevention: To protect our Services, our platform, and our users from fraud, abuse, or illegal activity.
  • To Comply with Legal Obligations: To comply with applicable laws, regulations, or legal processes (e.g., subpoenas or warrants).

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information with third parties only in the following limited circumstances:

With Your Consent: We may share information for other purposes with your explicit consent. For example, if you use the "Location Sharing" feature, a link will be generated to share your Device's location with others as you direct.

4. Data Storage and Retention

4.1. Location:

Your information is stored on secure servers, which may be located in Canada or other countries (such as the United States). By using our Services, you consent to the transfer of your data to these locations.

4.2. Retention:

We retain your data as follows:

Location History: We store your Device's location history for a period based on your subscription plan, typically ranging from 7 to 90 days. After this period, the older location data is permanently deleted.

Account Information: We retain your account information (name, email, etc.) for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period thereafter as necessary to comply with our legal obligations.

5. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures designed to protect your information from unauthorized access, use, alteration, or disclosure. These measures include encryption of data in transit (SSL) and at rest, access controls, and regular security reviews.

However, please note that no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee its absolute security.

6. Your Rights and Choices (PIPEDA)

As a Canadian company, we respect your rights under the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

  • Access: You have the right to access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correction (Rectification): You have the right to request that we correct any inaccurate or incomplete personal information.
  • Withdrawal of Consent: You may withdraw your consent to our collection and use of your information at any time by canceling your Subscription and ceasing to use the Device. This will result in the termination of your Services.
  • Data Deletion: You may request the deletion of your account and associated personal information by contacting us. We will delete your data, subject to any legal or operational retention requirements.

7. Children's Privacy

Our Services are not intended for or directed at children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that we have collected information from a child, we will take steps to delete it immediately.
